What is free?
Jul 25 – Free?! Can you still get free things nowadays?
Well, I am in Changi airport and all local calls are free. We also get 15 minutes of free internet.
Often people will jump up and down in joy when they get free things. But is it really free? I never believe in free things. The only exceptions are people who work for something they love and feel strongly about. All other free things always comes with a cost or with an expectation or obligation. Just like the free meals one get from a soup kitchen for the homeless. More often than not, it is organised by some church organisations whose ultimate objective is to get new converts from their freebies.
The free telephone calls and the free internet are all paid for by the record profits which these telecommunication companies has. So it is not really free.
Nevertheless, when something “free” is given, it is better to take it and make use of it. So I had checked my facebook and inserted a short blog with this “free” 15 minutes of internet time.

Sorry to sound mushy…but true unconditional love, which is very rare indeed, is free.

PJ – Love also comes with a price. More often, it is a price to the giver and not the taker. Friendship is also free but how often it has been abused million times over.
Gina – Only a short trip, 3 days into kiasuland. Almost nothing is free nowadays.
