Malaysia Rocks At The Amazing Race
November 22 – TARA 2 or the Amazing Race Asia 2 started its second season and Malaysia really rocked the opening episode when the Chong sisters; Pamela and Vanessa showed everyone what they are really made off by beating two very competitive guys teams to finish first. It was 3 way race between the sisters against Filipinos Rovilson Fernandez and Marc Nelson and Singaporeans Colin Low and Adrian Yap. All the other teams were clearly no match for the top 3 teams. Lady luck was smiling on the other Malaysian duo; Ann Tan and Diane Douglas who finished 3rd when the taxi for Colin and Andrian got lost.
The bitch of the first episode definitely has to go to Terri Reed of the Philippines, who was screaming incessantly at her poor husband all the way. If she win the bitch award then the pig award has to go to Edwin Lo from Hong Kong was equally irritatingly vocal. I pity his pretty partner Monica Lo.
It was a fabulous start. Definitely better than last year’s.
The way Pamela and Vanessa ate their balut was awesome. I felt the ultimate compliment was when Marc said :- “these girls are inhuman”.
Pamela and Vanessa, that was a really great performance.
Malaysia loves you.
I somehow felt that Malaysians will always do better in races as we are pretty well rounded people and have more common sense. Hahahahah!

i wonder why in these shows the people chosen are always ‘ good looking’ people. I think having a ‘camera face’ helps rating. I am not saying that these people are not good for the show………..but that’s the reality in life. If too ‘ugly’ cannotlah. But if chubby, cute, eccentric…….then ok.

On the contrary, the Chong sisters are cool, not only looks but really great gung-ho personalities….well that’s show biz…. If the cast is too goody goody…. well…yawn….

Gina, you are bias! I think Malaysians are not so independant and not so tough.
YP! You are right. This Amazing Race select only the good looking ones. It would be best to get an Amazing Race with some nerds, with some dumb blondes, some beef cakes, some health freaks, all in one.

Actually, if reality TV shows are made entirely of ugly-looking people, it won’t be very much fun to watch. Wah, these Chong sister’s look quite babelicious, huh?
